Confronting Shadows in Darkness
The atmosphere around me is completely dark and all I can see are some rocks in a straight line ahead of me coming out a shallow body of water. My kids are behind me and I say "Come on, I'm going to show Daddy that I'm not evil", as I take a step on to the next stepping stone. When I say the word "evil" I feel a tinge of pain in the pit of my chest and goosebumps all over my body. I feel a dark presence. I feel startled but curious. "Evil" I say as I take another step. Another tinge of pain in my chest. This time I rephrase into a question. "Am I evil?" I say. And feel goosebumps and the presence in the darkness feels more intense and I have a pain throughout my body that wakes my from a DEAD Sleep and I feel the pain even after I wake. I sit there crying and I say, "I rebuke you, in the name of Jesus!" "Jesus, please take this darkness from me and fill me with your light."
The pain went away but I still get goosebumps to this day even thinking about it.
